Cook Regentec Hires INDiVO for Website Redesign and Consolidation

Multiple aged websites with a myriad of technical issues led Cook Regentec to hire INDIVO for this website redesign and consolidation project.

Challenges

out-of-date code, multiple websites

Technical challenges and disorganization put website security and continued operations at risk.

Old website was out of date in code base, security and content.

Solutions

Cook Regentec provides products used to create cell and gene therapies (living medicines) to scientists, pharmaceutical and biologics companies.

When INDiVO was awarded the account, it inherited three distinct websites with a myriad of technical challenges putting their continued operation at risk.

Until the website redesign and consolidation plan was approved, INDiVO installed all the latent core code and security patches. We also kept all three sites secure and functioning while adding new product and content updates over an 18-month period, as the Client required. To help the Client capitalize on customer synergies between the product groups, INDiVO created the core concept “Tools to Build Your Therapies”.

Within the first 60-days of site launch, comparing year-over-year traffic, the new site has drawn over 10% more visitors, the vast majority of which are new users. We have also garnered improved pages per session and reduced the bounce rate in resources by more than 30%.

It became imperative to move the websites

As components and templates used in the legacy websites continued to expire, it became imperative to move the websites onto a current WordPress codebase and template. Not only do expired components and templates leave a site vulnerable to unauthorized incursions, they may result in accidentally taking a website offline.

In the interest of reducing time-to-launch and budget, it was suggested that the Agency use only existing content and image elements presently on the existing websites. With the redesign and code platform update, INDiVO was able to improve site organization, flow and traction along with improved security, stability and site performance.

Resources were restructured to help locate applicable references right from a product page, or by topic within the resources section. New functionality for resources included both a keyword search and a sort menu.Applicable resources geared to a specific product are accessible on detail sidebar.

The new website allows visitors to quickly navigate to the brand they were seeking, or to see what tools would be available for various stages of the cell and gene therapy development process.
